The front veranda of Denise’s Brunswick house was nearly a hundred years old. Generations of families had worn down the floorboards and the timbers were starting to disintegrate. When it came to demolition, Denise salvaged some of the beautiful old hardwood and passed it on to Tony. She also sent him a photo of her son Andreas and beloved Staffy (Uma) in front of the original veranda. A few days later she received a stunning framed image that captured a moment in time and preserved a tactile piece of her family’s history forever.
